Our Role in the ASIACOM Group
The ASIACOM PH Desk serves as a regional liaison function for projects and transactions related to the Philippines. Rather than acting as a standalone trading company, it focuses on communication, coordination and support between local partners and the ASIACOM Group.
Day-to-day trade execution, contracts and documentation are handled by the Hong Kong Office, while group-wide AI systems and governance are designed and operated by the JP Desk in Tokyo (Tokyo HQ). The PH Desk helps connect these functions to businesses and projects involving the Philippines.
How We Work with Tokyo HQ and Hong Kong
The ASIACOM Group has gradually migrated its core AI systems and shared tools to Tokyo, under the JP Desk. Within this framework, the roles are broadly divided as:
- JP Desk (Tokyo HQ): AI systems, document frameworks, governance and policies
- HK Desk: practical trade execution and on-the-ground coordination
- PH Desk: regional liaison and communication window for Philippine-related projects
- TW Desk: regional window for Taiwan
This structure allows the group to remain compact while still supporting cross-border projects that involve multiple jurisdictions and time zones.
Areas of Activity
In cooperation with the Hong Kong Office, JP Desk and other partners, the PH Desk mainly works on:
- Acting as a first contact point for inquiries related to the Philippines
- Coordinating communication between local partners and the Hong Kong / Tokyo teams
- Supporting documentation flow and information gathering for trade projects
- Helping align local project needs with group policies and frameworks
